Doosan is well-known South Korean manufacturer of high quality excavators. The excavators from Doosan are considered as some of the best on the market because they stand for durability, powerful performance and excellent results on the job site. One of its latest product is the Doosan DX140LCR-3, a machine with reduced tail-swing configuration that satisfies all requirements. The tail-swing radius of this excavator is 1.5 meter, which results in a tail-swing overhang of 200 cm over the side of the machine. This allows the DX140LCR-3 to operate even in the most congested job-sites, such as rail lines, highways, streets, etc. The reduced tail swing configuration also minimizes the chances of damages when the machine is working near big buildings.
Doosan DX140LCR-3 features a Cummins QSB 4.5 engine that provides 81 kW or 108 horsepower at 2200 rpm, which is more than enough to perform a variety of excavating operations. This excavator comes with a bucket with digging force of 109 kN and its maximum digging reach is around 8200 mm. Its overall width is 2500 mm and its overall length is about 7300 mm. This configuration gives the excavator enough stability for both lifting and digging operations. Like all Doosan excavators, the DX140LCR-3 comes with LCD monitor which shows essential information about the machine.
This excavator includes many innovative features that significantly increase the productivity. It comes with an electronic power optimizing system, shortly known as EPOS, which provides a well-balanced power and fuel efficiency through a variety of systems and features. The DX140LCR-3 offers four operating modes for enhanced efficiency on the job site. The operators can choose the most suitable work mode for each application in order to perform in the most efficient manner. The travel speed of these excavators is 3.2 km/h, and can move easily around the construction site.
The tracks of the Doosan excavators are operated by a single foot pedal, positioned in the right front corner of the cabin floor. This option makes them perfect excavators for both straightforward and backwards travel, which is most common in trenching applications. The tilting function and the height lever are both positioned next to the operator’s seat, allowing the operator to comfortably operate the machine. The cabin of the Doosan excavators is significantly improved with many helpful controls and features.
